Testimonial: Mettmann District Fire Brigade School as one of the first users of the new thermal imaging camera

In 2021 ten German fire brigades celebrated the opening of Mettmann’s new and modern district fire brigade school. Thus, the district supports all participating cities in the promotion of new talent and ensures that both voluntary and full-time candidates are trained.

“The B1 course consists of 30 attendees and for the practical sessions we break the group in three efficient, small teams of ten,” explains Deputy Head Of School Daniel Roßmeier. “Each team is fully equipped; including a fire truck loaded with a thermal imaging camera.”

The district fire brigade school outlines the importance of up-to-date and latest training content. “As a process facilitator, we support the fact that every deploying squad should carry at least one thermal imaging camera during the inside attack. Those who can read situations quickly have a clear advantage. A thermal imaging camera helps to make correct and vital decisions during the inside attack.”

The TXS is characterized by its light weight, simple operation, clear image quality and is delivered at a competitive price. Traditionally, cameras are often heavier and not so easy to use! Thus, the thermal imaging camera TXS is predestined for modern fire brigade training and inside attack calls.

We would like to thank Mettmann District Fire Brigade School for using Bullard TXS and Bullard QXT thermal imager. We are proud to contribute to the modern fire brigade training.
